Art Foundation Classes at VCU
This was my work that I created my freshman year at VCU. This is the equivocant of an artist's bootcamp. It's about trying to work through assignment criteria. Trying to take your concept for the assignment and executing it with a special attention to skill. It requires alot of work to get all your work done and to stay on top of your classes. Sleep becomes a luxury and trying to work to pay your bills while in these classes is foolish. What you make in response to the assignments is the basis of your end of semester portfolio. You must submit your portfolio to the departments you are interested in majoring in. The commitee for each deprtment then reviews your work and decided whether they think you are right for their department. If you fail to get into your major you can always resubmit every semester till they accept you. Better to tailor your portfolio to the department you choose to submit to and submit to more than one to assure you have a better chance of getting accepted to something.
